If you’re a qualified plumber with building services experience, this is a stable, long‑term role on a large, complex healthcare estate. You’ll be working in a Hard FM environment where your work directly supports clinical services, patient safety and day‑to‑day hospital operations.This isn’t just “fixing leaks” — you’ll be maintaining and supporting plant, services and complex systems across a busy hospital site, with the structure, support and purpose that comes with working in healthcare.
The Role
As a Maintenance Plumber, you’ll provide technical support across the Wythenshawe Hospital estate, helping keep building services running safely, compliantly and efficiently. You’ll deliver a mix of reactive repairs and planned work, completing jobs to a high standard and supporting a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff.
What you’ll be doing

Maintaining the safe operation of plant and equipment across the hospital estate.

Carrying out repairs, new works, servicing, installation, maintenance and testing of building services systems.

Working to company/client procedures and statutory compliance, including H&S, safe systems of work, hygiene/cleanliness, fire safety and COSHH.

Promoting a safe and healthy environment across the site.
What we’re looking for

NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) and good building services knowledge

Strong maintenance experience: fault finding, diagnosing issues, reading drawings and repairing equipment

Organised approach with the ability to keep pace and meet deadlines

Clear communication, a positive attitude and a team-first mindset

Comfortable working both as part of a team and independently, staying calm under pressure
(Healthcare or large-site experience is useful — but not essential.)
