This is a hands-on General Manager role for someone who enjoys being at the heart of the operation. You will take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business, leading from the front, developing the team, and ensuring consistently high standards across every aspect of the guest experience.

As General Manager, you will take overall responsibility for the smooth running of the pub, overseeing the front-of-house operation while working closely with the kitchen team to ensure the business continues to deliver an exceptional experience for every guest.
You will lead and motivate the team, maintain high standards of service and presentation, and play an important role in the continued development and success of the business.
As General Manager you will:
- Take responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business
- Lead, motivate, and develop the front-of-house team
- Ensure consistently high standards of guest service
- Manage staffing, rotas, and daily operational requirements
- Oversee service and be a visible presence on the floor
- Maintain excellent standards of presentation throughout the pub
- Handle guest feedback and queries confidently and professionally
- Work closely with the kitchen team to ensure seamless food and beverage service
- Help drive the continued success and reputation of the business
- Support the commercial performance of the operation
The ideal candidate will be an experienced hospitality manager with a strong background within a quality pub, gastro pub, restaurant, or similar environment.
You will be highly customer-focused, confident leading a team, and comfortable taking ownership of a busy operation.
Experience with rotas and P&L would be advantageous, but the most important qualities are strong leadership, commercial awareness, and a genuine passion for hospitality.
Due to the rural location of the property, candidates will ideally need to drive.
