Service Technician – Gas Detection Equipment
Location: Gisburn Permanent – Full Time
We are seeking a hands‑on, enthusiastic individual to join our busy but relaxed service centre, working with a wide range of portable gas detection units.
About the Role
You will be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining gas detection equipment while developing strong technical knowledge of how gas detection systems work. The industry is constantly evolving, offering continuous learning and new technologies to explore.
Key Responsibilities
- Servicing and repairing portable gas detection units
- Dismantling, diagnosing, and rebuilding equipment
- Developing technical knowledge of gas detection systems
- Working efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
- Meeting deadlines and maintaining accuracy
- Carrying out general service‑related tasks as required

- Flexible, reliable, and punctual
- Able to use your own initiative while working well as part of a team
- Keen interest in taking things apart and putting them back together
- Computer literate and comfortable learning new systems
- Willing to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Able to focus under pressure and meet deadlines
- Preferably with your own transport due to the remote location
