We are one of the leading independent Estate Agents and Chartered Surveyors in the North of England. We are currently expanding our team and we are looking for a Trainee Surveyor to join our Commercial team. The role will assist the Directors and Surveyors in the marketing (sales and lettings) and valuation of commercial property together with professional activities and duties. The successful candidate will be required to undertake studies and examinations to attain qualification as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).
The successful candidate will need to be extremely organised, have high attention to detail, excellent communication skills and be a team player along with strong customer service experience within the property industry.
This is a role for someone who likes to be kept remarkably busy and work in a fast-paced environment along with ability to multi-task and adapt to various situations quickly and efficiently.
As a Trainee Surveyor, you will be required to enrol on the RICS training programme in conjunction with the College of Estate Management, this being a correspondence based course, with the intention of attaining qualification as a Chartered Surveyor (MRICS).
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
- · Undertaking accompanied viewings at properties
- · Preparing marketing brochures for properties for sale and to let
- · Preparing advertising literature
- Assisting with the measuring and referencing of properties in accordance with the RICS Code of Measuring Practice
- · Assisting with the valuation of properties to include the preparation of due diligence and compiling comparable evidence
- · Taking internal and external photographs of properties
- · Dealing with telephone and email enquiries in respect of properties being marketed
- · Representing the team at internal and external meetings and events
- · Meeting our legal requirements under Anti-money Laundering regulations and Know Your Customer records

3 A-Level or equivalent qualifications providing 96 UCAS tariff points
