Kitchen assistant/cook
In our kitchen you’ll do food preparation work and basic cooking under the supervision of our section chefs, rotating through sections as and where your needed. Key responsibilities:
- Maintaining high standards of hygiene
- Preparing the ingredients for a more senior chef
- Measuring dish ingredients and portion sizes accurately
- Dealing with deliveries and stock rotation
- Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
- Washing, peeling, chopping, cutting and cooking foodstuffs and helping to prepare salads and desserts
- Disposing of rubbish
- Helping and assist with maintaining a clean and organised kitchen
- Cleaning the food preparation equipment, floors and other kitchen tools or areas
- And any other duties required to assist in the smooth running of the hotel
- Using the Dishwasher and helping in the pot wash area

Full-time permanent positions are offered, as well as summer jobs for students seeking seasonal work only.
