Health Improvement Practitioner - Physical Activity Specialist
We are recruiting for two roles:
- 1 x Full-Time position (37 hours per week)
- 1 x Part-Time position (30 hours per week)
Hours will be worked across the centre's operating hours of 8:00am to 8:00pm, with occasional Saturday shifts from 9:00am to 1:00pm.
£26,147.16 per annum

Role
We are currently recruiting for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Health Improvement Practitioner to join our specialist Physical Activity team. You will actively support clients across the region to tailor a safe and appropriate exercise programme that improves their mental and physical health working towards identified and agreed goals. You will also give them the confidence to better understand their health and take up regular exercise.
Please note that we are recruiting for two positions. One is a full-time post, working predominantly Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend working. The second is a part-time post, working primarily on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
There may be occasions where both post holders are required to work on Wednesdays and weekends to meet service needs and support caseload demands.
About You
You will be an enthusiastic individual with a passion for health improvement. You will be motivated to use your skills to make a difference for our clients who require enhanced support and information with their health needs.
You will currently hold a level 2 Gym Instructor certificate and a level 2 Group Exercise Qualification. You will be willing to undertake additional qualifications such as Exercise on Referral Instructor Level 3, Postural Stability Instructor, BACPR Specialist Instructor.
You must also hold full driving license with own vehicle or access to a vehicle for travel.
