Dexter’s is looking for an experienced, reliable and friendly barber to join our team. We offer two working options, depending on what suits the successful candidate:
Option 1 – Flexible commission position
Work on a commission basis with flexibility around your working days and hours.
Option 2 – Six-month salaried position
Receive the security of a guaranteed salary for your first six months while you settle into the shop and build your client base. After the initial six-month period, there will be the option to move onto a commission-based arrangement.
This is a great opportunity for someone who wants the independence and earning potential of commission work, but may also value some financial security while getting established.
Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality haircuts, skin fades, beard trims and other barbering services
- Provide a friendly, professional experience for every customer
- Build strong relationships with new and existing clients
- Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic workspace
- Manage appointments and walk-in customers effectively
- Work positively as part of the wider Dexter’s team
What We’re Looking For
- Previous professional barbering experience
- Confidence in a range of modern and traditional barbering techniques
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Reliability, professionalism and good timekeeping
- A friendly attitude and willingness to help grow the business
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
