Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and proactive Health Care Assistant to join our dedicated care team. In this vital role, you will provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes or through home care services, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Support the implementation of personalised care plans tailored to each individual's needs
- Maintain clear and effective communication with clients, their families, and the wider healthcare team
- Ensure all documentation related to care activities is accurate and up-to-date using IT systems
- Drive or accompany clients to appointments or outings as required, ensuring safe transportation
- Monitor clients’ health status, report any changes or concerns promptly to senior staff or healthcare professionals
- Uphold hygiene standards and ensure a clean, safe environment in line with health regulations
Experience
- Previous experience working in a care home or providing home care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate
- Familiarity with care plans, health documentation, and basic IT systems for record keeping is advantageous
- Strong communication skills in English are essential for effective interaction with clients and team members
- Valid driving license and ability to drive are highly desirable for roles involving client transportation
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
