About the Role
We are looking for a reliable Potwash Operative to join our production support team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for washing and sanitising pots, pans, utensils, trays, and equipment used throughout our bakery production, helping to keep operations running smoothly and hygienically.
What You'll Be Doing
- Wash, sanitise and dry pots, pans, trays, utensils, and other production equipment to the required hygiene standard.
- Follow the cleaning schedule and complete washing/cleaning records accurately.
- Ensure a steady supply of clean equipment is available to production at all times, prioritising as needed to avoid delays.
- Keep the potwash area, sinks and surrounding floors clean, tidy, and free from waste or debris.
- Report any damaged, faulty, or missing equipment to the Line Manager.
- Use cleaning chemicals, PPE, and hygiene supplies correctly, ensuring stock levels are maintained.
- Support the hygiene team with additional cleaning duties as required.
- Follow HACCP, food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures at all times.
- Maintain high personal hygiene standards and follow the "clean as you go" policy.
- Support bakery operations and assist in other areas when required.
What You Bring
- Previous potwash or cleaning experience in a food production or manufacturing environment is desirable.
- Basic understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Awareness of food safety standards such as HACCP and BRC is advantageous.
- Ability to work efficiently under time pressure, particularly during busy production periods.
- Understanding of hygiene and sanitation practices within a food manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good attention to detail and high standards of cleanliness.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions.
- A flexible, proactive, and reliable approach to work.

Hourly Rate: £12.75 per hour, Monthly Pay
Working Arrangements: Monday – Friday, 2pm – 10pm shifts available, fully onsite.
