Responsibilities Day-to-Day
· Take ownership of the development kitchen:
· Manage ingredient and packaging stores
· Maintain exceptional hygiene and food safety standards within the Development Kitchen
· Control wastage through accurate collection of ingredients, detailed stock management, FIFO and staff meals on a Friday
· Keep the Development Kitchen clean, organised and ready to receive clients and visitors at all times.
· Support the management of our recipe portfolio
· Enter recipes onto our database, stick to strict version control and change logs
· Record key quality attributes of recipes to give our cooking teams the tools they need to perform
· Contribute ideas on cooking methods and recipe improvements to deliver consistently outstanding products.
· Sampling
· Prepare customer samples to an exceptional standard, ensuring consistency, presentation and attention to detail.
· Carefully pack wrap and send these to customers who’ll decide what they want to go into production
· Cross functional support

You'll work closely with colleagues to solve problems, improve processes and confidently share ideas that help us continue to grow. Work as part of a project team to successfully manage challenges, identify root causes to and have the confidence to speak up when you have an idea
Requirements
Essential
· Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, food manufacturing or catering environment
· Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
· Excellent standards of hygiene and food safety
· Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
· Positive attitude and willingness to support colleagues
· Fluent spoken and written English
Desirable
· COSHH Training
· Food Hygiene Certificate
Typical working hours are 6 - 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with some flexibility possible depending on best fit for you and the business.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: £12.21-£14.00 per hour
