Behaviour Mentor – September Start

Are you passionate about supporting young people and helping them overcome barriers to learning?
We are currently recruiting for an enthusiastic and dedicated Behaviour Mentor to join a supportive and inclusive school in North London from September. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience working with children and young people who may require additional behavioural, emotional or pastoral support.
The Role:
- Providing 1:1 and small group behavioural support to pupils
- Supporting students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Building positive relationships with pupils to encourage engagement and positive behaviour
- Implementing behaviour strategies and interventions in line with school policies
- Working closely with teachers, SENCOs, pastoral teams and external professionals
- Promoting emotional wellbeing, resilience and confidence amongst pupils
- Helping create a safe, inclusive and supportive learning environment
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
✅ Previous experience working with children or young people in a school, youth work, mentoring or support setting
✅ Experience supporting pupils with behavioural needs, SEMH, ADHD, Autism or other additional needs is highly desirable
✅ A positive, resilient and proactive approach
✅ Strong communication and behaviour management skills
✅ The ability to build strong relationships and act as a positive role model
✅ A genuine passion for supporting vulnerable young people to achieve their full potential
✅ An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
