Overview
We are looking for a hardworking, reliable and motivated general farm worker to join our team on a busy dairy and beef farm in South Devon.
We milk a 600 cow spring calving grazing herd, with all our heifer replacements bred on farm. We also rear our beef stock through to finishing, providing a varied role across both dairy and beef enterprises.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys practical farm work and is keen to gain experience across a range of farming activities.
Responsibilities - Your duties will include
- Young stock care
- Tractor and machinery work - including routine feeding, scraping and bedding.
- Some milking - 54 point rotary parlour installed 2023.
- General livestock handling and husbandry.
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the farm.
About You
Previous farming experience with the right attitude and willingness to work as part of our team.
The successful candidate will:
- Have a genuine interest in farming and livestock.
- Be willing to learn and develop new skills.
- Have a positive attitude and be willing to get stuck into all aspects of farm work.
- Have good attention to animal welfare and care.
- Have tractor experience.
- Be able to provide previous work references.
- Have a full UK drivers licence.
