Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Warehouse Labourer specialising in Timber Frame construction to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the fabrication, assembly, and handling of timber components within a busy warehouse environment. The position involves physical labour and requires a proactive approach to safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the fabrication and assembly of timber frame components using hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques.
- Handle heavy timber materials safely, ensuring proper lifting and manoeuvring to prevent injury.
- Support the organisation and storage of timber products within the warehouse, maintaining a clean and efficient workspace.
- Use carpentry and construction skills as required for project support.
- Operate various hand tools and power tools safely and effectively during assembly and installation processes.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely completion of projects while adhering to safety regulations.
- Assist with loading and unloading materials from lorries or delivery vehicles as needed.
Experience
- Prior experience in fabrication, assembly, or carpentry is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, joinery techniques, construction is advantageous.
- Experience working in a warehouse or construction environment involving heavy lifting is preferred.
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to construction sites and warehouse operations is beneficial.
