An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment Solicitor (5+ years' PQE) to join the well-established Employment team of a highly regarded regional law firm based in Solihull.
This role offers the opportunity to work with a broad and varied client base, advising both employers and employees on a wide range of contentious and non-contentious employment matters. It's an ideal position for an ambitious solicitor looking to progress their career within a supportive, collaborative and forward-thinking firm.
The Role
The successful candidate will manage a varied caseload of employment matters while delivering commercially focused legal advice to businesses and individuals.
Responsibilities will include:
- Advising employers on disciplinary and grievance procedures, restructures, redundancies, TUPE and performance management
- Managing Employment Tribunal claims from initial instruction through to conclusion
- Drafting and negotiating employment contracts, staff handbooks, workplace policies and settlement agreements
- Providing employment law support and due diligence on corporate transactions
- Delivering practical, strategic advice tailored to clients' commercial objectives
- Developing and maintaining strong client relationships
- Supporting business development through networking, seminars, client training and relationship building
About You
Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate:
- Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
- 5+ years' PQE specialising in Employment Law within a UK law firm
- Strong technical knowledge across both contentious and non-contentious employment matters
- Experience managing your own caseload with minimal supervision
- Excellent drafting, negotiation and advocacy skills
- Outstanding communication and client care abilities
- A commercially minded approach with an interest in business development
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
- A collaborative attitude and genuine enthusiasm for contributing to a growing team
