Nestled within the stunning Lulworth Estate, The Weld Arms is a welcoming country pub with newly opened, beautifully appointed boutique bedrooms, renowned for our warm hospitality, seasonal menus and exceptional guest experiences.
We are looking for a passionate and talented Breakfast Chef to join our kitchen team and help deliver an outstanding breakfast experience for our overnight guests and local visitors.
This is a full-time position, working 40 hours per week over 5 days, between 7:30am and 4:00pm. The role includes weekend and bank holiday working, in line with the needs of the business.
The Role
As our Breakfast Chef, you will play a key role in creating a memorable start to the day for our guests. Working with fresh, seasonal ingredients—including estate-reared and locally sourced produce—you will prepare and present breakfast dishes to an exceptional standard while maintaining a calm, organised and efficient kitchen.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a high-quality breakfast menu using fresh, seasonal ingredients.
- Showcase the finest estate-reared and locally sourced produce through beautifully prepared and presented dishes.
- Ensure every plate is delivered with consistency, care and attention to detail.
- Prepare and organise the kitchen for breakfast service, supporting a seamless transition into lunch preparation.
- Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene, cleanliness and health & safety.
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering and ensure effective stock rotation.
- Work collaboratively with the Head Chef, kitchen team and front of house colleagues to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
- Support the wider kitchen operation with food preparation and daily service as required.
- Take pride in maintaining a clean, organised and professional kitchen environment.
About You
You'll be a reliable, enthusiastic chef who enjoys working in a quality-led hospitality environment. You'll have:
- Previous experience in a chef or breakfast chef role.
- A genuine passion for fresh, seasonal food and an appreciation for quality, locally sourced ingredients.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently during busy service.
- A positive, flexible and team-focused attitude.
- A commitment to consistently high standards of food quality and guest service.
