Overview
We are seeking a motivated and experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join our logistics team. This vital role involves safely operating a heavy goods vehicle, specifically a chain loader & hook loader, to deliver goods efficiently across various locations. Responsibilities
- Safely operate a Class 2 Heavy Goods Vehicle (HGV), with a focus on skip deliveries and collections
- Load and secure skips onto the truck, ensuring proper weight distribution and safety compliance
- Plan delivery routes effectively to meet schedules and optimize efficiency
- Conduct pre vehicle inspections to identify any maintenance or safety issues
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including delivery logs and manifests
- Adhere strictly to all road safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during driving operations
Experience
- Experience as a commercial driver, particularly with skip loaders/hook loaders/tippers or similar HGVs
- Valid HGV Class 2 driving license
- Delivery driver experience demonstrating punctuality and reliability
- Knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for commercial driving
- Ability to handle physical tasks related to loading/unloading safely and efficiently
Requirements
- Cat C driving license
- Certificate of Professional Competence
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 2 years experience
