Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Baby Room Early Years Practitioner with a minimum Level 3 qualification in childcare or early childhood education. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality care and education to infants within a nurturing and stimulating environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your management and leadership skills while supporting the developmental needs of young children. The practitioner will work closely with colleagues to ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive setting that promotes early learning and well-being.
Responsibilities
- Plan, deliver, and evaluate age-appropriate activities that support infants’ physical, emotional, and cognitive development.
- Foster a warm, caring environment where children feel safe, valued, and encouraged to explore.
- Maintain accurate records of children's progress, behaviour, and developmental milestones in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of all children by adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.
- Support colleagues through effective team management and leadership within the nursery setting.
- Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding their child's progress and daily experiences.
- Organise daily routines including feeding, nappy changing, playtime, and rest periods in line with individual needs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of nursery practices through participation in staff meetings and training sessions.
- Assist with the organisation of nursery resources and maintain a clean, safe environment conducive to learning.
Experience
- Minimum Level 3 qualification in Childcare or Early Childhood Education recognised within the UK.
- Proven experience working with infants in a nursery or childcare setting.
- Demonstrable management or leadership experience within early years environments is desirable.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and early years curriculum frameworks.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while demonstrating leadership qualities.
- Experience working with children from diverse backgrounds is advantageous.

Pay: £24,420.00-£41,690.92 per year
