Summary
We are seeking a Maintenance Person to join our team at Hazeldell Residential Home in Ipswich. This vital role ensures that our facilities remain safe, comfortable, and well-maintained, supporting our commitment to quality care and resident well-being.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs throughout the home to ensure safety and functionality.
- Conduct inspections of electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve maintenance issues promptly.
- Assist with decorating, refurbishing, and upgrading the facility.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities.
- Collaborate with staff to prioritize repairs and improvements.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Support the overall cleanliness and presentation of the home.
- Carrying out fire alarms and tests within the home
- PAT testing
- Gardening
- Qualifications
- Proven experience in maintenance or facilities management.
- Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
- Ability to read schematics and work with various tools.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Customer service orientation.
