About the Role
Vickers Construction Ltd is looking to recruit a reliable and hardworking General Labourer to join our growing team. We carry out a wide range of property repairs, refurbishment and disrepair works for housing associations and commercial clients across the North East.
This is a hands-on role supporting our skilled tradespeople and helping to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting tradespeople on site.
- Loading, unloading and moving materials.
- Keeping sites clean, tidy and safe.
- Demolition and strip-out works.
- General labouring duties.
- Assisting with deliveries.
- Erecting barriers and protecting work areas.
- Removing waste materials.
- Following Health & Safety procedures at all times.
- Carrying out any other reasonable duties as required.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience working as a General Labourer within the construction industry.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Good knowledge of construction site practices.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work well as part of a team.
- Good communication skills.
- Punctual and trustworthy.
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling.
Desirable
- CSCS Card.
- Asbestos Awareness.
- Manual Handling Training.
- Working at Height Training.
- First Aid qualification (desirable but not essential).

Working Hours
- Monday to Friday.
- 8:00am – 4:30pm.
