The Nottingham Recovery Network comprises of Framework Housing Association, Double Impact and Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust. The service is publicly funded and has been established to support people who use drugs and alcohol. We provide a single point of advice, support and treatment for anyone in Nottingham City who wishes to change their relationship with alcohol or drugs.
Based across sites: City Centre Nottingham/ Hospital Liaison NUH / Primary Care and other care settings to meet the needs of the service, some travelling may be required across the city as part of this role.
Substance Use Practitioner
Nottingham Recovery Network | 37 Hours | Permanent
This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative and high performing Triage Team delivering substance use service within the City of Nottingham. Nottingham Recovery Network Triage Team prides itself on good practice and innovation regarding substance use treatment interventions.
The Nottingham Recovery Network is the single point of advice, support, and treatment to anybody in Nottingham City who wishes to change their relationship with alcohol or drugs.
The Triage Team are the first port of call for individuals looking to access treatment services, therefore you will need excellent communication and motivational skills to encourage and motivate people to access treatment in the community.
The post holder will deliver triage and comprehensive assessments, brief interventions and structured treatment at the Wellbeing Hub and community venues, supporting wider community engagement in promoting the service.
The role will also manage a caseload, providing guidance, recovery-related support and treatment interventions to individuals experiencing substance use issues.
Applicants need to demonstrate an understanding of the factors impacting on substance use and dependency. Excellent training and comprehensive induction offered with ongoing supervision in the role.
You will require excellent communication and interpersonal skills to gain the confidence of service users and other agencies, alongside strong time management skills to balance competing priorities in a busy service. Triage Practitioners should have the ability to balance treatment core values against the demands of a rigorous service where no two days are the same. We are looking for a supportive team player with the ability to develop and contribute to a consistent and effective integrated team approach.
