We are looking for a passionate Team Manager to join our dedicated and ambitious management team. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a service that is committed to helping young people thrive as they transition into adulthood and independence.
As Team Manager, you will play a key role in shaping the future of our service and driving positive outcomes for young people aged 15¾ to 25 years. Leading a team of committed Personal Advisors, you will work alongside partners, stakeholders, and colleagues to ensure we fulfil our role as outstanding corporate parents, providing the support, encouragement, and opportunities our young people deserve.

We Are Looking for Someone Who:
- Has experience of, and/or a strong understanding of, working with care-experienced young people.
- Brings experience from Children's Social Care and/or Adult Social Care and/or a related field.
- Is passionate about achieving excellent outcomes for young people.
- Demonstrates strong leadership skills and can inspire, motivate, and support others to perform at their best.
- Is forward-thinking, solution-focused, and committed to service improvement.
- Champions innovative and creative approaches to supporting young people.
- Places young people at the centre of practice, planning, and decision-making.
- Values participation and empowers young people to influence and shape services.
- Is committed to supporting colleagues and young people to build successful, independent futures.

The Government has confirmed plans to reorganise local government across Lancashire. From April 2028, the current 15 councils will be replaced by four new unitary councils covering North, South, East and West Lancashire.
If you're successful in your application, you'll initially join Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council. As part of the reorganisation, your employment will transfer to the new East Lancashire council from April 2028.
