Cover Supervisor Blackburn
Justteachers are working with a local school in Blackburn for a Cover Supervisor to join a supportive and welcoming secondary school. The role is to start in September 2026 and has the potential to become permanent for the right person.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise whole classes during the short-term absence of teaching staff, ensuring a positive and productive learning environment.
- Deliver pre-planned lesson materials and instructions provided by teaching staff.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies and procedures.
- Support students with their learning where appropriate and encourage participation in lessons.
- Provide feedback to teaching staff regarding student engagement, behaviour, and completed work.
Pre-requisites:
- Previous experience working with young people in an educational or similar setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and classroom management skills.
- Confidence leading groups of students and maintaining a positive learning atmosphere.
- A flexible, adaptable, and proactive approach to work.
- A passion for supporting young people's learning and development.
