Garage Manager required
Location: Unit 6 Greenburn Centre, Selinas Lane, Dagenham, Essex, RM8 1QH
Hours: 37.5 hours per week

About the Role
We are seeking an organised and experienced Garage Manager to oversee the day-to-day operation of our garage in Dagenham.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staffing, budgets, stock, vehicle maintenance arrangements, compliance and repair records. This role requires strong leadership, commercial awareness and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Determine staffing requirements to meet operational demands.
Organise staff workloads, schedules and daily garage activities.
Oversee budgets, control operating costs and support the profitability of the business.
Maintain appropriate stock levels of spare parts, tools and materials.
Arrange and coordinate maintenance and repair work for vehicles and motorcycles.
Ensure that all work is completed in accordance with relevant safety standards, workplace procedures and regulations.
Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance and repair work.
Review repair records and operational performance to identify opportunities for improvement.
Monitor the quality and efficiency of work carried out within the garage.
Help maintain a safe, organised and professional working environment.
Skills and Experience
The ideal candidate will have:
Previous experience in garage, workshop or automotive operations management.
Strong leadership and staff-management skills.
Knowledge of vehicle and motorcycle maintenance and repair processes.
Experience managing budgets, costs, stock and operational resources.
Good knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
Strong organisational and record-keeping skills.
The ability to prioritise workloads and work effectively under pressure.
Good communication and problem-solving skills.
Relevant automotive or management qualifications would be advantageous.

Salary of £36,000 - £38,000.
28 days' statutory annual leave (including public holidays), pro-rata where applicable.
