Job Overview
We are seeking a professional and vigilant SIA Door Supervisor to ensure the safety and security of patrons and premises at our venue. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining a secure environment, managing access control, and providing excellent customer service. This role offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic setting where attention to detail and proactive security measures are essential. All positions are paid, including internships, and prior experience is preferred but not mandatory with proper training provided.
Responsibilities
- Monitor entrances and exits to control access and prevent unauthorised entry
- Conduct thorough surveillance of the premises using CCTV systems to identify suspicious activity
- Implement loss prevention strategies to safeguard property and assets
- Enforce venue policies in a professional manner, ensuring the safety of all guests and staff
- Respond promptly to incidents or emergencies, including administering first aid if necessary
- Maintain a visible presence to deter potential troublemakers and manage crowd behaviour effectively
- Record detailed incident reports accurately for future reference
- Collaborate with colleagues to uphold high standards of security and customer service
Experience
- Previous experience in security, surveillance, or loss prevention is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for suitable candidates
- Knowledge of CCTV operation and monitoring techniques is desirable
- First aid certification or willingness to undertake training is preferred
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in record keeping and incident reporting
