Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for fabricating and welding metal components with precision and expertise, contributing to the production of high-quality products. Duties
- Perform TIG welding and other welding techniques on various metals, including sheet metal, to precise specifications
- Fabricate components by cutting, shaping, and assembling materials using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment
- Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate production
- Utilise mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and resolve fabrication or welding issues effectively
- Operate and maintain welding equipment and fabrication machinery in accordance with safety standards
- Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into finished products or subassemblies
- Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times
- Conduct quality checks on finished work to ensure compliance with standards
Requirements
- Proven experience in TIG welding, with a strong understanding of welding standards
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment for metalworking tasks
- Knowledge of sheet metal work, assembly processes, and mechanical principles
- Ability to read technical drawings and blueprints accurately
- Basic mathematical skills for measurements and calculations during fabrication processes
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on precision and quality
- Good physical condition with the ability to lift heavy materials safely and stand for extended periods
- Mechanical knowledge relevant to fabrication tasks is highly desirable
- Prior experience working with various metals and familiarity with safety protocols in a workshop environment is preferred
Pay: £12.34-£20.50 per hour
