The pay will be £14.57ph plus a Recruitment Incentive totaling £2,957.79 per year for four years. Subject to conditions.

Job Description
This role involves the expert operation of heavy-duty gasoline, diesel, or electric-powered wheeled vehicles, specifically articulated lorries and tractor-trailers with a maximum gross weight of up to 44 tonnes. The incumbent is responsible for navigating these vehicles, alongside passenger buses capable of carrying 16 or more individuals, across public roads and highways under diverse traffic conditions. Beyond driving, the position requires the operation of electric, LPG, or diesel-powered forklifts, the performance of routine operator maintenance, and the diligent recording of all operational actions. Ensuring a safe and organized work environment through strict adherence to established safety regulations and protocols is a fundamental requirement of this multi-faceted logistics role.
Qualifications and Key skills
A valid UK CAT C+E, CAT D and CPC driving license is required
The ideal candidate possesses comprehensive knowledge and proven ability in operating a diverse fleet of vehicles, including gasoline, diesel, or electric-powered wheeled vehicles under 44 Tonnes Gross Vehicle Weight, tractor-trailer combinations up to 44 Tonnes, and passenger buses capable of carrying 16 or more passengers. This driving expertise is supported by a strong understanding of cargo handling, hauling, and securement techniques to safeguard goods, alongside expert knowledge of traffic laws, safety regulations, and procedures for both motor vehicles and material handling equipment, including electric, LPG, or diesel-powered forklifts. Highly organized and reliable, they demonstrate the ability to judge road and traffic conditions, read maps to determine the shortest and safest routes, interpret operational and preventive maintenance instructions for vehicles and power take-off units, and consistently meet strict pickup and delivery schedules.

1. You will be required to handle and safeguard sensitive information in accordance with applicable US and UK laws, rules and regulations. This position may also be coded as mission essential.
2. You may be required to travel by military and/or civilian aircraft, and you may also be required to travel to the US or other country, in the performance of official duties or attend necessary training.
3. You will be required to complete a 6-month probationary period.
4. Duty hours are subject to modification based on mission requirements and may include shifts, overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Additionally, the incumbent may be assigned other duties commensurate with their grade and skill set.
5. You must be able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
6. Position requires the ability to discern colors, contrast, and depth.
7. This is a drug testing designated position. The incumbent is subject to random testing for drug use.
8. Required to operate fork lifts to facilitate cargo loading/unloading. Experience desirable.
