Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and dedicated CNC Machine and Stone Saw Operator to join our growing stone fabrication workshop in Hayes. This is a stable, full-time position for an individual with experience operating CNC machinery and stone-cutting saws, as well as the ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and program CNC machines used for stone processing and fabrication.
- Operate stone-cutting saws and other production equipment.
- Prepare machinery for production and set operating parameters.
- Work from technical drawings and production plans.
- Cut, process, and prepare stone components according to specifications.
- Perform quality control checks and ensure a high level of precision and workmanship.
- Carry out routine machine maintenance and keep the work area clean and organised.
- Perform basic servicing tasks and report any faults or technical issues.
- Work closely with the production team to ensure orders are completed on time.
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies.
Requirements
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery and/or stone-cutting saws.
- Experience within the stone industry is advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Knowledge of stone processing and manufacturing procedures.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Reliable, responsible, and well organised.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Basic English language skills would be an advantage.
