Job Title : Mechanical Delivery Lead (Piping, HVAC, Equipment)

Key Responsibilities:
- To be the MEH JV focal point for all matters regarding the mechanical installation scope.
- To lead and support a team of mechanical resources providing bespoke scope knowledge as the ‘SME’ on their defined topics.
- Provide reporting and support to the MEHJV Construction Manager with respect to all matters on mechanical services.
- Provide safety advice and guidance relating to the installation of all mechanical equipment, systems, and services.
- Support the development and delivery of an “end to end” mechanical services installation strategy that aligns with the site area delivery strategy.
- Drive the consistency of delivery standards and across the project wide area delivery structure and ensure that “best for project” interface decisions are implemented across the multiple areas and buildings.
- Liaise and coordinate the constructability works, with the supply chain and ensure consistent approach for installation
- Support the MEH JV commercial team to provide accurate cost advice for the mechanical services installation activities.
- Support the MEH JV planning team to develop accurate schedule advice for the for the mechanical services installation activities.
- Support the MEH JV quality team to develop inspection and test plans for the mechanical services installation activities.
- To provide accurate performance and progress information to support the weekly / monthly reporting of MEH JV on site installation activities.
- Work with all relevant stakeholders to provide input into resource management (white & blue collar).
Key Deliverables:
- MEH JV documentation relating to the mechanical services installation activities, including (but not limited to) the strategic pre-planning of multiple equipment type movement and erection activities, logistics, plant, equipment, and resource planning.
- Cost advice relating to the mechanical services installation activities.
- Schedule advice relating to the mechanical services installation activities.
- Technical information to support the wider HPC project.
- Risk management and mitigation strategies
Key Requirements:
Essential:
- Mechanical Engineering Degree.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in project management and delivery of complex mechanical installation activities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Up to date knowledge of all current Health, Safety and Environmental standards and requirements.
- Confident use of IT and MS Office software
Desirable:
- Experience in a Nuclear environment is preferred but not essential.
- Awareness of the UK nuclear site licence conditions application.
- Awareness of the UK CDM regulations.
- A high level of technical knowledge relating to safe handling and installation of mechanical systems.
