Vehicle Technician / MOT Tester
Full-Time – Permanent – Furlong Street Garage
Are you an experienced and qualified Vehicle Technician who enjoys working in a busy workshop and takes pride in delivering high-quality workmanship?
Furlong Street Garage is an independent garage that has been growing from strength to strength since opening 14 years ago. What started in Arnold with just the two owners, Simon and Rob, has developed into a thriving workshop with a much larger unit in Calverton.
Today we carry out MOT testing for Class 4, Class 7 and motorcycles, along with servicing and repairs on all makes and models, including vans and motorhomes. As our reputation and customer base continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled Vehicle Technician / MOT tester to join our friendly team.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Carrying out vehicle servicing, maintenance and repairs to a high standard
- Diagnosing faults using your mechanical and basic diagnostic skills
- Conducting vehicle health checks and reporting any issues
- Performing MOT tests (Class 4, 7 and motorcycles) if you have a full motorcycle licence we can put you your class 1/2 MOT course
- Working on a variety of vehicles including cars, vans and motorhomes
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and professionally and keeping the workshop clean and tidy
What We’re Looking For
- Level 3 NVQ / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Vehicle Maintenance & Repair
- MOT licence
- At least 3 years’ workshop experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Pride in producing quality work
- Full UK driving licence
