- To undertake general maintenance duties at the Home as and when required doing so. Such duties include (although this list is not exhaustive), minor repairs, painting & decorating, changing of light bulbs, minor carpentry, fixing furniture, minor plumbing, tiling, general house maintenance, grass cutting, sweeping and general gardening.
- Ensure the maintenance of the home’s equipment such as wheelchairs, domestic appliances.
- Completing the appropriate records In line with CQC legislation.
- To act on own initiative in identifying work/repairs and report to Manager.
- To be on call for emergency repairs as and when they arise.
- To be responsible for stock control i.e. light bulbs, paint, batteries etc
- Checks and records must be kept/maintained in the areas of water temperature, fire, emergency lighting, pat test, Health & Safety checks. (CQC systems)
- Help to put stores away on delivery day.
