The Role
As a Dry Lining Fixer / Partition Installer, you will be responsible for:
- Installing metal stud and timber partition wall systems
- Fitting modular demountable and operable partition systems
- Boarding walls and ceilings using plasterboard to specification
- Installing suspended ceiling systems (MF and grid)
- Setting out from drawings and working to exact tolerances
- Working to fire and acoustic performance requirements (e.g. Gyproc Soundbloc)
- Installing double door sets within partition systems, including:
- Forming and reinforcing structural door openings with suitable timber or steel king/jack studs
- Installing heavy-duty double door frames, linings, and architraves to correct tolerances
- Fitting and aligning double doors with appropriate hinges, closers, and ironmongery
- Ensuring door sets comply with fire door regulations (FD30/FD60) where specified
- Installing head restraints and base seals for acoustic and fire-rated door assemblies
- Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised work environment
- Coordinating with other trades on site
What We Need From You
Essential
✔ Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card
✔ NVQ Level 2 in Dry Lining / Interior Systems (or working towards)
✔ Proven experience in partition & dry lining installation
✔ Experience installing double door sets within partition systems
✔ Ability to form and reinforce door openings with correct structural support (king/jack studs, lintels)
✔ Own hand tools
✔ Valid UTR number (CIS registered)
✔ Right to work in the UK
Desirable
- Experience with fire-rated partition & door systems (FD30/FD60)
- Knowledge of Gyproc / British Gypsum systems
- Experience with glass partitions / operable walls
- Familiarity with ironmongery, door closers & acoustic seals
- Own transport
- First Aid certificate
Pay: £16.58-£26.48 per hour
