The Role of a Pumpkin Patch Lunch Cover
A Nursery Lunch Cover supervises the children while staff have their lunch breaks. They are responsible for providing high-quality care for children and ensuring their safety and well-being at all times. They collaborate with the nursery team to create a nurturing and calm atmosphere that promotes children’s development. Bank staff must always ensure the safety and protection of children.
Roles and Responsibilities
- To contribute to the creation of a safe, welcoming and inclusive environment for all children
- To be vigilant and protect children from harm or abuse, report any concerns immediately, and follow child protection and whistleblowing policies.
- To cover where necessary in order to allow staff members to complete relevant paperwork and to cover lunch breaks.
- To be aware of all Pumpkin Patch’s policies and procedures and ensure these are adhered to.
- To assist with the provision of a stimulating range of age-appropriate activities.
- To be professional and a good role model to the children at all times.
- To be reliable and punctual, maintaining staffing ratios at all times.
