Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and skilled Guitar Teacher to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have piano to students of all ages (from 5 years old and up) and a strong ability to tailor lessons to each student’s needs and learning style. The role will involve both group and one-on-one lessons, focusing on technique, theory, and performance.
Responsibilities:
- Provide engaging and effective guitar lessons for students of varying ages and skill levels.
- Develop individualized lesson plans based on each student’s goals and learning style.
- Teach fundamental music theory, proper technique, and performance skills.
- Foster a positive and encouraging learning environment that builds student confidence.
- Monitor and track student progress, providing feedback and adjustments as needed.
- Prepare students for recitals, exams, and other performance opportunities.
- Communicate regularly with parents about their child’s progress.
- Maintain a professional, friendly, and motivating atmosphere in all lessons.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a guitar teacher or music instructor.
- Strong proficiency in guitar and music theory.
- Ability to teach students of all ages and skill levels, including beginners.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A passion for teaching and a genuine desire to inspire students.
- Patience and creativity in adapting to different learning styles.
- A degree or certification in music, education, or a related field is preferred, but not required.
- Must be able to work Thursday/Friday Evenings.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with music exams and certifications (e.g., ABRSM, Trinity College).
- Experience in preparing students for performances, recitals, and auditions.
- Familiarity with both classical and contemporary guitar styles.
