We are seeking an experienced and qualified Gold Card Electrician to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out electrical installations, maintenance, testing, inspection, and fault-finding across commercial, industrial, and domestic projects while ensuring all work complies with current regulations and industry standards.
This role requires a reliable, safety-conscious professional who can work independently or as part of a team, delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
- Read and interpret electrical drawings, specifications, and technical documents.
- Carry out first and second fix electrical installations.
- Perform electrical testing, inspection, and fault diagnosis.
- Ensure all work complies with BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations) and current health and safety legislation.
- Complete job reports, test certificates, and other required documentation accurately.
- Identify and resolve electrical faults efficiently.
- Liaise professionally with clients, contractors, and colleagues on site.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and company vehicles in good working order.
- Follow company procedures and contribute to maintaining a safe working environment.
Essential Requirements
- ECS Gold Card (Installation Electrician or equivalent).
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation.
- City & Guilds 2365, 2330, or equivalent qualifications.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (BS 7671).
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems and current regulations.
- Excellent fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and organisational skills.
- Commitment to high standards of workmanship and health and safety.
Desirable Qualifications
- City & Guilds 2391 or equivalent Inspection & Testing qualification.
- IPAF certification.
- PASMA certification.
- ECS Health, Safety & Environmental Assessment.
- Experience with commercial, industrial, or renewable energy installations.
- EV charger installation experience.
Pay: £230.00-£260.00 per day
