Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Senior Care Assistant to join our vibrant care home team. In this vital role, you will lead and support the delivery of exceptional care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor junior care staff, promoting best practices in resident care and safety
- Develop, review, and update personalized care plans in collaboration with residents and their families
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, eating, and mobility support
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain accurate documentation of care provided
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and team members to coordinate care needs
- Support the implementation of IT systems used for care documentation and communication purposes
- Drive a positive team environment by providing leadership, guidance, and supervision during shifts
Skills
- Proven supervisory or leadership experience within a care home or senior care setting
- Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with residents, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to develop and follow detailed care plans tailored to individual needs
- Valid driving license preferred for supporting resident outings or appointments
- Familiarity with IT systems used in healthcare or care environments for documentation and reporting purposes
- Knowledge of senior care best practices, including safeguarding procedures and health & safety standards
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to supervise staff schedules and ensure smooth daily operations

Pay: £14.45-£15.60 per hour
