We’re looking for a Senior 3D Artist to join our award winning team in Middlesbrough (UK), home to the beautiful North Yorkshire coastline and countryside.
As a Senior 3D Artist at Double Eleven, you’ll create high-quality props and assets to populate and elevate our game environments. Collaborating closely with the Art Director, Lead Artist, and our experienced Art Team, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the game’s final visual identity.
The ideal candidate will be self-motivated and highly creative with an exceptional artistic vision. They will understand how top-tier 3D assets convey tone, evoke emotion, and inspire the wider development team. They will bring robust industry knowledge, proven game development experience and a genuine passion for gaming.

What you’ll be doing

Create high-quality, AAA-standard 3D assets that align with the project's artistic vision, technical requirements, and established production pipelines

Produce a wide variety of hard surface and organic assets using efficient high-to-low poly workflows, modular construction techniques, and trim sheet methodologies

Take assets from concept art, reference material, or mood boards through to polished, game-ready implementation with minimal supervision

Create, export, and implement assets within game engines, ensuring they are correctly configured and meet technical and visual standards.

Ensure all assets meet agreed benchmarks for modelling, topology, UV layouts, texturing and optimisation

Collaborate closely with artists, designers, engineers, and other disciplines to deliver high-quality content that supports gameplay and project goals

Identify and resolve artistic or technical challenges, proactively seeking solutions that balance visual quality with performance

Plan, manage, and deliver your work to agreed schedules while maintaining a consistently high standard of quality

Mentor and support other artists by sharing knowledge, providing constructive feedback, and helping to foster a collaborative and inclusive team environment

Contribute to the ongoing improvement of art pipelines, workflows, best practices, and quality standards across the team
What we’re looking for

Excellent proficiency with industry-standard art tools, such as Maya or 3ds Max, Substance Designer/Painter, ZBrush, and Photoshop

Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across art, design, engineering, production, and other disciplines

The ability to critically evaluate your own work, provide constructive feedback to others, and contribute to maintaining high artistic standards across the team

A solid technical understanding of real-time game development, including creating and optimising assets to meet memory, performance, and gameplay requirements

Confidence in planning, prioritising, and accurately estimating your own work while delivering to agreed deadlines

Excellent knowledge of UV layouts, colour theory, composition, and asset presentation

A strong portfolio demonstrating high-quality hard surface and organic environment, prop, or character assets suitable for modern game development

Excellent understanding of game engines and the technical requirements for implementing high-quality art assets

Good knowledge of trim sheet workflows and efficient asset creation techniques
-
Experience creating high-quality physically based rendering (PBR) materials using modern texturing workflows
-
A collaborative mindset with a high level of professionalism, integrity, accountability, and a genuine commitment to supporting the wider team

A passion for creating exceptional game art, continuously improving your craft, and helping others to develop
