Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic waiting/bar member to join our vibrant team. As a waiting/bar member, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional guest services, ensuring that every dining experience is memorable. You will be responsible for taking orders, serving food and beverages, and maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for our patrons.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus, offering assistance with menu selections.
- Take accurate food and drink orders while ensuring timely service.
- Upsell additional items to enhance the guest experience and increase sales.
- Prepare tables for dining by setting up utensils, glassware, and condiments.
- Ensure food safety standards are adhered to during food preparation and service.
- Maintain cleanliness of the dining area, including clearing tables and resetting them for new guests.
- Respond promptly to guest inquiries and requests, providing exceptional hospitality at all times.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure smooth service and timely delivery of orders.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Priority will be given to applicants who have previous experience in a restaurant or hospitality environment.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced setting.
- Basic maths skills for handling transactions and managing bills.
- Knowledge of food preparation techniques and food safety regulations is an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards guests and team members.
- A passion for culinary arts and an eagerness to learn about menu offerings.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
