We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Marketing Assistant to join the Parents 1st UK team. This is a fixed term contract to September 2027 to cover maternity leave.

About the role
You will be working directly with the Parents 1st UK Communications & Marketing Manager and another Marketing Assistant to assist with managing social media channels and paid ads, writing and uploading content to the website, collating information for monthly newsletters, creating images/videos, and promoting courses, workshops and other events.

You will play an important role in supporting the Marketing and Comms team to grow our reputation and raise awareness of peer support and our support services.
You will be working directly with the Parents 1st UK Communications & Marketing Manager and another Marketing Assistant to assist with managing social media channels, writing and uploading content to the website, collating information for monthly newsletters, creating images/videos, and promoting courses, workshops and other events.
Guided by the Communications and Marketing Manager, the key responsibilities include:
· Posting organic content across Facebook, Instagram and YouTube
· Scheduling paid ads across social media channels
· Being aware of best practices across the above social media platforms
· Being able to communicate key messages concisely across social media, with excellent written communication skills
· Collating information for monthly newsletters
· Uploading content to our website (Having an understanding of SEO is desirable)
· Proofreading to a high standard, with excellent attention to detail
· Assisting with workshops/events, capturing photos/videos
General
1. To be keen to learn, develop, and contribute
2. To be aware of and follow Parents 1st UK Safeguarding Children and Adults at Risk procedures and attend regular training
3. To attend regular staff meetings and supervision as required

This is a homeworking role, but you will be required to travel to attend team meetings and possibly attend some events within Essex. You must have the correct right to work documents to work in the UK and be comfortable/willing to travel when required.

Personal Specification
This role will be particularly suitable to someone who already has at least 1 year of experience as a Marketing Assistant or similar level.

· Has a driving licence, access to own transport and able to travel to a variety of locations

Desirable
· Experience of writing web copy, including an understanding of SEO
