Duties
- Assist dentists during a variety of dental procedures, ensuring all instruments and materials are prepared and sterilized efficiently
- Provide compassionate patient care by explaining procedures, addressing concerns, and ensuring comfort throughout visits
- Maintain accurate patient records using IT systems, including treatment notes and appointment schedules
- Ensure strict adherence to infection control protocols and hygiene standards to promote a safe environment
- Support with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient files, and coordinating follow-up care
- Communicate clearly with patients in English, providing instructions for post-treatment care and answering questions effectively
- Organize dental supplies and equipment to ensure smooth daily operations within the practice
Experience
- Proven experience working as a Dental Nurse or in a similar healthcare support role is preferred but not mandatory; training opportunities are available for motivated candidates
- Strong communication skills in English to interact confidently with patients and team members
- Knowledge of nursing principles applied within a dental setting, including infection control and patient safety procedures
- Familiarity with IT systems used in healthcare environments for record keeping and appointment management
- Excellent organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to demonstrate empathy and professionalism when caring for diverse patient needs
