About the Role
We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and customer-focused Furniture Delivery Driver to join our team.
You will be responsible for delivering furniture safely and efficiently to customers’ homes and businesses. The role involves driving a large panel van, loading and unloading furniture, and providing a professional and friendly service from the moment you arrive at the customer’s door.
This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys being active, takes pride in their work and is comfortable working independently while also being part of a team.
Key Responsibilities
Safely drive and operate a large delivery van.
Load, secure and unload furniture carefully to prevent damage.
Deliver furniture to customers’ homes and business premises.
Carry and manoeuvre furniture, including larger and heavier items.
Provide excellent customer service and represent the company professionally.
Complete deliveries within scheduled timeframes.
Check delivery paperwork and obtain customer signatures where required.
About You
The ideal candidate will:
Hold a full UK driving licence.
Have previous delivery or van-driving experience.
Be confident driving a larger van and navigating different roads and locations.
Be physically fit and comfortable lifting and carrying furniture.
Have a careful and responsible approach to handling customers’ property.
Have good communication and customer service skills.
Be punctual, dependable and well organised.
Be able to work independently and manage a daily delivery schedule.
Have a positive attitude and professional appearance.
Be flexible when required to meet the needs of the business.
Previous Experience
Experience in furniture delivery, removals, logistics, home deliveries or a similar role would be an advantage, but full training can be provided for the right candidate.
