Responsibilities
- Provide personalised companionship and emotional support, fostering meaningful relationships.
- Assist with light housework, errands, and maintaining a tidy and safe home environment.
- Support with meal planning and preparation, ensuring nutritious and enjoyable food.
- Offer dignified personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, and grooming, respecting client privacy at all times.
- Provide medication reminders and support, ensuring timely and correct administration.
- Facilitate mobility support, assisting clients with safe movement around their home.
- Engage clients in stimulating activities, hobbies, and community outings to enrich their lives.
Requirements
Essential:
- A genuine passion for supporting older adults and a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care.
- Reliability, punctuality, and a strong sense of responsibility.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust.
- A full, valid UK driving licence and consistent access to your own reliable vehicle is essential due to the geographical nature of client visits.
- The legal right to work in the UK.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a care-giving role, either professional or personal, is advantageous but not essential as full training is provided.
- Local knowledge of the South Molton, Barnstaple, and Chulmleigh areas.
