Responsibilities
- Assist with food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs and kitchen staff
- Clean and sanitize dishes, utensils, cookware, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards
- Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, floors, storage areas, and waste disposal areas
- Support with basic cooking tasks when needed, including ingredient handling and assembly
- Ensure all kitchen tools and supplies are properly stored and organized for easy access
- Help with receiving deliveries and stocking supplies to keep the kitchen well-equipped
- Follow health and safety regulations diligently to create a safe working environment for everyone
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is preferred but not required
- Knowledge of food preparation, cooking, and kitchen hygiene practices is advantageous
- Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of cleanliness
