Duties
- Assist residents with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility assistance
- Support patients with medication administration following prescribed protocols
- Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental stimulation and emotional well-being
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs and assist with feeding when necessary
- Manage behavior challenges with patience and effective behavior management techniques
- Provide support for hospice and dementia care, ensuring comfort and dignity at all times
- Assist with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Support transportation needs by driving clients to appointments or outings when required
- Monitor health status, report changes promptly, and document care activities accurately
Qualifications
- Prior experience in assisted living, nursing home, or home care environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of patient care practices including Alzheimer's, dementia, hospice, and senior care
- Certification or training in first aid and CPR is preferred
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physical tasks involved in caregiving duties
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect empathetically with clients of all ages—including children when applicable
- Valid driver’s license for driving responsibilities if required
- Demonstrated reliability, patience, and a caring attitude towards vulnerable populations
