Leicestershire County Care Ltd has been successfully running Residential Care Homes within the Midlands area for over 10 years. This position is for a group of 12 care homes within Leicestershire.
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Carpenter to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out a wide range of carpentry works including door repairs, fire door installation, remedial carpentry, and new installations. This role is ideal for a practical, detail-oriented professional who can work independently and deliver high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Repair, adjust and maintain internal and external doors.
- Install and remediate fire doors in line with current regulations and standards.
- Complete new carpentry installations as required.
- Ensure all works are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
- Accurately record work completed and report any issues identified on site.
- Work flexibly across different days, including weekends when required.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience as a skilled carpenter
- Competent in door repairs, fire door installation, and remedial carpentry
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements
- Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
- Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills
- Own tools (preferred) and full UK drivers license
Desirable:
- Experience working in residential or commercial properties
- Knowledge of fire safety regulations related to fire doors
