Based in Bromsgrove, Clear Business Services Ltd is looking to recruit an experienced Assistant Accountant. We are offering a hybrid working environment and are looking for someone who enjoys working independently, takes pride in maintaining accurate financial records and can confidently manage a varied workload. Workload can be completed over 3 or 4 days.
Key Responsibilities
Client Bookkeeping & Accounts
· Maintain accurate financial records using Xero (or similar business management application).
· Reconcile bank accounts and monitor daily transactions.
· Ensure all financial records and spreadsheets are kept up to date.
Management Accounts & Reporting
· Produce monthly management accounts and reconciliations.
· Ensure supporting spreadsheets reconcile with Xero (or similar business management application) records.
· Prepare information required for year-end accounts and audits.
· Liaise with external accountants as and when required.
VAT & Compliance
· Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.
· Ensure all relevant financial deadlines are met.
Payroll Administration
· Process client monthly payroll and weekly payroll runs.
· Submit payroll information to HMRC, including FPS submissions.
· Issue payslips and advise clients of PAYE monthly Liabilities.
· Administer workplace pension contributions.
· Manage pension and payroll-related compliance requirements.
· Complete and submit P11D returns where required.
· Handle payroll year-end processes and submissions.
