Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Bank Support Workers to provide community-based assistance to individuals in need of care. Responsibilities
- Deliver personalised care and support to clients within their homes or community settings, including assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, medication administration, and personal hygiene.
- Assist with specialised care needs such as dementia, Alzheimer's, hospice, and behaviour management, ensuring dignity and respect at all times.
- Support clients with mobility through heavy lifting or transfer techniques when necessary, maintaining safety protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to promote mental wellbeing.
- Assist with organising activities that encourage independence and social engagement.
- Support with driving clients to appointments or social outings using company vehicles where applicable.
- Follow care plans accurately and document all support provided in accordance with organisational policies.
- Respond effectively to emergencies by administering first aid when required and following safeguarding procedures.
Requirements
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing homes, home care, or hospice settings is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer's support, or behaviour management techniques is advantageous.
- Certification in first aid is preferred; however, training can be provided for suitable candidates.
- Valid driving licence and ability to drive is a plus for supporting clients outside the home environment.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs.
- Strong communication skills with a caring attitude towards clients of all ages, including children and elderly individuals.
- Flexibility to work across various shifts as needed; this role involves working in community settings rather than a fixed location.
