Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Gas Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and demonstrate proficiency in various technical skills, including plumbing, welding, and the use of hand and power tools. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing gas appliances and systems in residential settings. The Gas Engineer will ensure compliance with safety regulations and provide exceptional service to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair gas appliances, heating systems, and pipework.
- Conduct thorough inspections of gas systems to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to perform tasks effectively.
- Carry out plumbing tasks related to gas installations.
- Assemble components as required for various projects.
- Perform heavy lifting when necessary to move equipment or materials.
- Maintain accurate records of work completed and materials used.
- Communicate effectively with clients to explain services provided and address any concerns.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Gas Engineer .
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues effectively.
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
- Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to installations.
- Experience in plumbing is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with carpentry skills is an advantage.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the role.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Full UK Driving License
