Production Operative – Shower Tray Manufacturing
Location: Keighley
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm
Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are a new shower tray manufacturing plant based in Keighley, producing high-quality gelcoat shower trays for the UK market. As production increases, we are looking to bring additional production operatives into the business to support day-to-day manufacturing.
This role involves working across different stages of the production process and would suit someone who enjoys practical work, working with their hands, and being part of a structured production environment.
About the manufacturing process:
Our shower trays are manufactured using gelcoat and resin on a modern, automated production line. The process includes gelcoat spraying, resin casting, controlled curing through a heat tunnel, cooling, finishing, sanding, inspection and packing. Each stage plays an important part in achieving a high-quality finished product.
The role
As a Production Operative, you may be involved in a combination of the following:
- Gelcoat spraying and preparation of moulds
- Resin casting and monitoring fill and finish
- Moving trays through curing and cooling stages
- Sanding, fettling and finishing trays to the required standard
- Visual inspection and quality checking
- Packing finished products ready for dispatch
- Operating and monitoring production equipment
- Maintaining cleanliness and organisation within your work area
- Following safe working practices and production procedures
You may work in one area or be trained across multiple stages of the process, depending on experience and production requirements.
What we’re looking for
- Manufacturing, factory or production experience is helpful but not essential
- Experience with GRP, composites, resin, spraying or finishing is an advantage
- Good attention to detail and pride in the quality of your work
- Comfortable carrying out practical, hands-on tasks
- Able to follow instructions and work to set processes
- Reliable, punctual and team-focused
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn new skills
