Pukka Padel Leeds is looking for experienced, enthusiastic and professional Padel Coaches to join our growing team.
This role will initially be offered on a contracted / self-employed basis, with coaching arrangements tailored depending on the coach’s experience, qualifications, availability and playing level. We are open to working with coaches on a flexible basis, from a small number of weekly sessions through to more regular coaching schedules.
We are looking for coaches who are confident teaching players of all abilities, from complete beginners learning the fundamentals of padel through to intermediate, advanced and competitive players looking to improve their technical and tactical game.
As Pukka Padel continues to grow, there will also be opportunities for permanent and expanded coaching roles across our venues for the right individuals.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality padel coaching sessions for players of all abilities.
- Provide beginner, intermediate and advanced individual coaching.
- Deliver private one-to-one and small-group coaching sessions.
- Run group coaching programmes, clinics and structured training sessions.
- Introduce new players to the rules, techniques and fundamentals of padel.
- Develop players' technical skills, including serving, returning, volleys, bandejas, viboras, overheads and use of the glass.
- Improve players' positioning, movement, communication and tactical understanding.
- Adapt coaching sessions depending on individual player ability and objectives.
- Provide constructive feedback and clear development plans for players.
- Assist with social sessions, introductory sessions and player development programmes.
- Support tournaments, leagues, club events and corporate padel sessions where required.
- Help identify player levels and recommend appropriate coaching or playing opportunities.
- Maintain a professional, positive and approachable relationship with members and guests.
- Ensure coaching sessions are delivered safely and in accordance with club procedures.
- Represent Pukka Padel professionally both on and off court.
- Help create a welcoming and enjoyable environment that encourages players to continue developing their game.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge and understanding of padel.
- Ability to coach players across a wide range of abilities, from complete beginners through to advanced players.
- Previous padel coaching experience is strongly preferred.
- Recognised padel coaching qualifications are preferred but will be considered alongside playing and coaching experience.
- Strong technical and tactical understanding of the game.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to explain techniques clearly and adapt coaching methods to different players.
- Confident, energetic and professional approach.
- Reliable and well organised.
- Ability to work independently while representing the Pukka Padel brand.
- Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends where required.
- Experience running group sessions, clinics or tournaments is advantageous.
- Competitive playing experience is advantageous but not essential where appropriate coaching experience can be demonstrated.
Contract & Coaching Arrangements
Coaching arrangements will vary depending on:
- Coaching experience and qualifications.
- Playing ability and technical level.
- Availability.
- Number of sessions delivered.
- Individual and group coaching requirements.
- Demand at the venue.
We are happy to discuss different arrangements with suitable coaches and are looking to build relationships with individuals who can become an important part of the Pukka Padel coaching programme.
There will also be opportunities for permanent employment and more substantial coaching roles as Pukka Padel continues to expand.
