Community Support Worker-Wigan Borough | Flexible OpportunitiesThis probably isn't for everyone...
Let's be honest.
If you're simply looking for a job where you clock in, do the bare minimum, clock out and wait for payday, then Crown Care Support Services probably isn't the place for you.
But...
If you're the type of person who notices when someone needs a little extra help.
If you genuinely enjoy talking to people.
If you believe that making someone a cup of tea, helping them organise their home, doing their shopping or simply sitting and having a conversation can completely change someone's day...
Then we might be looking for you.
We're building something different.
Crown Care Support Services is a new, locally founded company built around one simple belief:
Our community deserves the best.
We're bringing a range of practical support services together under one roof, helping people and families across the Wigan Borough with the everyday things that can make a huge difference to someone's independence, wellbeing and quality of life.
And we're looking for exceptional local people to join us.
You don't necessarily need years of experience.
Yes, experience is fantastic.
But some of the best people for this kind of work may never have officially worked in "care" before.
Maybe you've spent years helping your parents, grandparents, neighbours or friends.
Maybe you're the person everyone calls when they need help.
Maybe you're naturally organised, patient, kind and reliable.
Maybe you simply believe you could make a genuine difference in somebody's life.
That experience counts too.
Skills can be developed. Training can be provided.
But kindness, honesty and genuinely caring about people? That's something that comes from within.
What could you be doing?
No two days will necessarily look the same.
You could be:
- Supporting someone with their weekly shopping
- Helping somebody prepare meals
- Providing companionship and a friendly face
- Helping keep someone's home clean, organised and comfortable
- Supporting with laundry and household tasks
- Accompanying someone to appointments
- Helping someone get out into their community
- Running errands
- Helping organise correspondence and everyday life
- Providing reassurance to someone who may simply need to know somebody is there
We also work alongside a wider team providing services such as professional cleaning, gardening and home maintenance.
One organisation. Multiple services. One goal: making life easier for the people we support.
The small things are actually the big things.
We don't believe support should feel rushed, transactional or like ticking boxes.
To us, you're not just there to complete a task.
You're potentially a huge part of someone's life.
You might be the person they look forward to seeing.
The person who helps them stay independent.
The person who notices something isn't quite right.
The person who brings laughter into their day.
That's why we're serious when we say we only want the best people representing Crown Care Support Services.
Not because we're trying to sound impressive.
Because our community genuinely deserves the best.
Who are we looking for?
We're looking for good, honest, dependable people.
People who:
- Genuinely care about others
- Are kind, friendly and approachable
- Take pride in doing things properly
- Can be trusted in someone's home
- Understand the importance of dignity and respect
- Have common sense and initiative
- Are reliable
- Communicate well
- Want to make a positive difference
- Feel connected to their local community
Previous experience in care, support, hospitality, cleaning, customer service or community work is welcomed — but it isn't everything.
We hire people for who they are, not just what their CV says.
Why join us?
Because you're not joining a huge faceless organisation.
You're joining something from the beginning.
A local company with big ambitions and a genuine desire to build something our community can be proud of.
As Crown Care Support Services grows, we want our team to grow with us. We want to create opportunities, develop good people and build a team where everyone understands that the work they do genuinely matters.
Sound like you?
If you've read this and thought:
"Actually... I think I'd be really good at this."
We'd love to hear from you.
You might have far more relevant experience than you realise.
Apply today and tell us a little about yourself.
